Green sea turtles, nesting seabirds, monk seals, tropical fish species and extensive coral reef structures all thrive in the protected waters of Kailua Bay. With an Eco-guide, it is possible to enter into turtle feeding grounds and to carefully explore the habitat of the Wedge Tailed Shearwater. With extreme awareness and even better luck, Hawaiin monk seals can be spotted swimming near the islands. They get their name from their solitary existance and great respect should be given them. By Snorkeling the reef system you will enter another world where giant puffer fish and hundreds of endemic fish species can be spotted.. The largest of Kailua's Islands are the "twin" Mokulua Islands, two cone shaped, volcanic islets. An Eco Tour can land here on the inland facing, sandy beach for exploration.
